I've kept my promise!
Presenting to you my April Beauty Favorites! Tah-dah!
This'll be my first time ever doing this post and I hope that I can keep this up for the coming months. Let's keep our fingers crossed. ;)
The products that I'm featuring here are all on beauty. I might do fashion faves in the coming future when I'm not feeling lazy, distracted or blah... ;) I'll do my very best to feature different products every month... Fingers crossed to that, too...
Here is a shot of all the products. I'm not going to do a single shot for every single thing since this'll turn to a verrrrrry long post.
I'm going to start the one at the bottom, if that's alright with you. Though you wouldn't have much choice about that. Bwahahahaha
Sleek I-Divine Palette in Au Naturel
I love this palette! It's like all shades that I would definitely use in one. It's very versatile for someone whose not very into overwhelming colors such us blue and orange. I love all shades in here. Although it's powder eyeshadow but it's creamy to touch, very smooth and blendable. And the best part about the palette is that they're suuuuper pigmented espcially the ones in darker shades! Ones in bold are my top faves.
Shades: Nougat, Nubuck, Capuccino, Honey Comb, Toast, Taupe, Conker, Moss, Bark, Mineral Earth, Regal, Noir
Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in Shade No. 23
This is part of my routine before I go out to anywhere. It's very healthy for my skin. One thing I noticed though is that when I try to sheer this out, it can easily slip away soon as my natural oils come out. But it does stay matte for a long time maybe around 6 hours with double application. For a no makeup makeup, what I do is just apply this at the center of my face: middle forehead, nose, sides of nose, cheeks just below my eyes, below my nose and chin. Voila! Instant highlight and it keeps my oiliness at bay just where I need them to.
Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Smoothing Cherry
Actually, I have another one in orange I think but I just can't help myself from getting back to this lip balm. I love the smell and it keeps my lips moisturized + protected especially in this scorching hot Philippine summer!
Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace
Now this is at the top of my favorites list! Out of all the blushes I've ever used, this one stays true to its color. I bought this and Au Naturel Palette via the Sleek website. The shipping is quite impressive. Got it 2 weeks after I purchased it online, considering it came from UK. Shades are in Crochet red orange color, Guipure deep rose with gold shimmers, and Chantilly bright orange. These are absolutely the best! When I want a summery shade, I'd use Chantilly. But if I want a blushed pink cheek, I'd use Crochet. Guipure is this gorgeous pink shade that's soooo pretty at the tops of the cheeks. I believe people think it's a dupe to Nars Orgasm but I can't attest to that.
Warning: This blush is extremely pigmented. You might want to use a light hand and build it up slowly for intensity.
Human Nature Cleansing Oil with Sunflower Oil
Now this is part of my daily routine. With all organic ingredients, this has really been healthy for my skin. The best thing about this oil is that it's very all-around. Although I primarily bought it as a makeup remover, I also tend to use this as a moisturizer for my face and hair! Really worth the money. I love how it leaves my face supple after I use it. Just recently, I ombred my hair and used a highlighting color and it is really drying! Like, really! So I use a pump or two and apply it only at the tips of my hair. It helped a lot countering the dryness. Awesome!
SanSan Gel Eyeliner in Black
This I love too! This gel eyeliner is really great for the money. It's very black and I love how it's very easily manipulated to the exact flick you want. The brush is absolutely perfect. It glides on smoothly on your lids. This lasts quite long on me and has the same effect to your eyes as would a liquid eyeliner.
Bobbie Basic Nail Hardener
This product has been really helpful to my nails. I apply this before I put on my nail polish. Surprisingly, it kept my nails from breaking off. The number one reason I hate growing my nails is that they flake and chip so easily and naturally, they grow weaker with nail polish on. Manicurists say I've got thin nails so a coat of this really helped strengthen them. My nail polish will last a week without chipping even with cheaper ones. Thumbs up!
Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara
I've been using this for 5 months already and I am loving it. Since I've really sparse and stubby lashes, using this gives me longer lashes significantly. I just apply anther coat for volumizing effect. The star of the show is its vibrating wand. The vibrating helps separate lashes perfectly thus avoids clumping. The trick is to not slab a lot of the product on the wand and slowly build up volume.
That's it pancit! noodles in English.
Here are my VIPs for the month of April! I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
I'd love to hear what your April favorites are.
