Today my mom and I went out for a shopping date at our local (and my go-to) ukay-ukay store a.k.a Thrift/Salvie-Army Store. Sadly, I wasn't feeling the magic.
Usually when I'm over the P10-benches, I'm on a treasure hunt at the treasury. LOL. But today just was not the day. I picked up items that were just okay but had totally lacked that oomph. So I went over to the "newly opened" benches with shoes strewn all over, trainers, strappy sandals, boots.
And then-- I saw it... These transparent black-toe-capped shoes were beckoning me. (I bet it wasn't that difficult.) But there it was! So without a doubt, I knew they were my find to keep. Just the perfect inspiration for my magic fingers. I had found two more pieces that were awesome for summer!

What I am soooo happy about was that these are all matchable with the flats! Ugh! So lovely.
That dress right there is vintage-y. I'm not sure if it's really from the 20th century but it does look vintage. I know you can't see it clearly the cut from the photo but I promise you it looks soo much better up close and personal. Mom wrinkled her nose at first but when she saw me try it out at home, I changed her mind, as always. ;) The dress is a bit flimsy and cotton feel to it so it doesn't have that structured skirt shape. The neckline has that hoop cut out in the middle that can be buttoned and hoop cuts at the sides of the sleeves, too. I'll take a picture of me wearing this with the toe-capped flats.
The skirt and polka dot top are sooooo in-love together. haha It hadn't even crossed my mind at first. I just saw their chemistry soon as I got home and saw them both side by side.
I am sooo satisfied and happy with my finds. I feel like I am totally ready for the Philippine summer!
