Bought at Human Heart Nature Cebu Branch (The Strip) |
I never thought I'd ever use or buy a makeup remover. I always thought soap and water were enough and just recently I've been using my wet wipes to clean up my makeup <-- not the makeup removing kind.
Oh, I hear a gasp somewhere. But anyways, I realized the error of my ways and decided to really take care of my skin.
And what better way than to start with something organic. My mom actually suggested to use Ponds Cold Cream (smells like lemons) but I checked out at the store and found it too luxurious to clean up facial mess. It was 100++ bucks for a quarter the size of this bottle right here. So I scratched Ponds of my list and went off my merry way to buy Human Heart Cleansing Oil with Sunflower Oil at Php295.
REVIEW
The product actually removes makeup quite effectively and guess what... even mascaras! That's right. So happy to have used this without looking like the corpse bride after. And I like that it doesn't make me feel sticky. Some cream products make you feel like your attracting dust and whatnots. I also felt my face turned supple. Just learned that sunflower oil can help retain moisture and is an anti-aging ingredient!
Here at the right side, that sleepy looking girl is me, after cleaning my face with the cleansing oil, wiping off with wet wipes.
What I love about this... is that (1) The packaging is too cute and (2) Knowing that the ingredient is 100% Sunflower Oil. The latter fact gives me assurance that this won't have adverse effects on my skin. (Since I have no account of ever having itches and sneezing from sunflowers.)
What I noticed... is that it doesn't have a strong smell. It smells faintly of floral but not the strong blended kind. I can't exactly put my finger on it. And I don't smell it when it's on my face.
What I don't like... is that it makes me feel a tad bit greasy even after washing it off with soap once. I do the soaping and rinsing twice. The other thing I do after application is wiping it off with wet wipes (alcohol-free) and then washing it off with soap and water.
For now, this'll be my go to makeup remover. And I am quite happy with it. But maybe somewhere in the future, when I'm feeling rich and adventurous, I might try another one. You can comment your suggestions down below or just say something about what you currently use for removing makeup. :D
