A Story By Yours Truly

Don't be surprised. I am posting this here because my old blog at Multiply soon won't be around. I'd hate to see this go, too.
Well, this is my wanna-be novel [has never been given a proper title]. Maybe you would like to comment on what I should finally give it!
Just comment below and discuss!

Well here goes...

An Amateur Story

(May 8, 2008 | ymarg.multiply.com)

He had all the riches in the world.
Cole, at the age of twenty-five, had achieved what an older man would in his late thirties.
He could buy anything at the snap of his fingers.

His world was a whirlwind of business meetings and investment deals from Tokyo toNew York.

But inside was a cold man.

People are dazzled by his money and his status. There was no one he could trust but
himself.

Let alone find a woman who could love him as he was. They were all over him but not one ever caught his heart. In return, he became bitter and cynical.

Until...

She was simple.
Jane works for an old bookshop a few blocks from home.

She had been raised by very religious parents and acquired the same for her self.

But recently, they had died out of old age.

There was no one left for her but the convent.

All her twenty-three years of life, she had found no man to love, let alone kiss.

And so she decided to do one crazy thing before she wallowed herself in single-blessedness.

To kiss the first man she sees driving a car in front of the bookshop ...

A red sports car...
Some rule to make her feel she was not an easy girl.

This is it. Should I really do this?
God?
Can you hear me? I'm being silly, aren't I?

It was all she thought as she stood in front of the store, dreading every car in sight.

Thirty minutes...

Forty-five minutes..

Nothing...

It was getting dark as the sun begun its exit for the day.

And then...

It began to rain..

She looked up at the sky. She asked,

You won't let me do this right?

Well, that was it...

A mixture of relief and disappointment seeped through her...

After looking up, she began her way home.

Then...

A red sports car pulled over---

In front of her...

The window slid, revealing the most gorgeous man she had ever laid her eyes on.

She approached the car.

Mesmerized...

You need a ride? He asked.

She felt shabby under his gaze, drenched in the rain and all.

She started to reply.

But instead...

She did the next best thing.

She kissed the stranger...

After for what seem seemed like an eternity...

She lifted her head..
Looked into his green eyes..

And ran like the devil was after her.

For almost an hour, Cole stared at the spot where the soaking woman had stood and kissed him out of the blue. Stumped and shocked..

He wondered if this was what women do these days just to get to him.

The fact that she ran away confused him more.

But woah!

She could kiss him and blow his mind off at the same time.

Shaking his head, he drove off.

---

Jane couldn't sleep.

Her mind went replay at the kiss --

And the only one she would ever have.
Now she wasn't crazy anymore.

She was utterly insane.

I will forever cherish that kiss.
Thank you, Lord.
